Performance and Specifications of Opel Corsa
The Opel Corsa is manufactured with a vast variety of petrol and diesel engines. However, not all engine options are available in Ghana. Still, you have a choice to choose from three engine configurations, the basic of which is a 1.2 liter four-cylinder producing 50-75 horsepower and 86-110 Nm torque. The second in line is a 1.4 liter four-cylinder engine that gives 89 horsepower and 125 Nm torque. Apart from these two, we have a 1.6 liter four-cylinder engine, but only in second generation models. This Pre-EcoTec engine generates 110 horsepower and 150 Nm torque. The transmission systems available in second generation models are 4-speed manual, 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic. In third generation, 4-speed manual was removed, while a new 5-speed semi-automatic transmission was introduced.
How is the design of Opel Corsa
The Opel Corsa has a subcompact shape and is available in three-door and five-door variants. The three-door version possesses a slanted rear end, while that of five-door variant is more upright. The second generation models have smaller headlights and a slender front grille compared to previous versions. Moreover, the front/rear bumpers and sidelines have black plastic trims on them. The same exterior was carried forward to the third generation with a few changes. The next-gen models received new headlamps and front grille, while the taillights were climbed up and aligned with the rear windshield. The black plastic trims were streamlined in the third generation and then removed in the 2003 facelift. On the inside, the Corsa received a completely redesigned dashboard and center console. The fifth and latest generation Corsa appears in a stunning new design with restyled front fascia. It is majorly based on Corsa D Nurburgring Edition and seems to be just a facelift.
What are the standout features of Opel Corsa
The Corsa B is very simple and has very less to talk about. However, the Plus (premium) versions of this hatchback are equipped with dual front airbags, air conditioning, antilock braking system, electric windows and center locking. The manufacturer introduced some new tech features in Corsa C including navigation screen, new audio system and new gauge cluster. Moreover, the premium features of previous generation were made available on the standard trim. In comparison to that, the latest versions of Opel Corsa come with a wide range of high-tech features like new family of engines, racing trims, safety equipment and modern entertainment/infotainment facilities.
